EXiT Realty Crutcher Takes Home A Win for A good Cause

Exit Realty Crutcher recently had the opportunity to participate in the DIVINE STEPS Golf Scramble and guess what?  They won!  Yeah Team Exit Realty! 
The Golf Scramble was a fund-raiser for the ladies of DIVINE STEPS a nonprofit sobering organization for women recovering from alcohol and drug abuse.  This was their 2nd Annual Golf Scramble held at Long Run Golf Course in Louisville Ky on Sept 6, 2013.   There were a total of 16 teams and we took 1st place.  A big thank-you to Cindi Crutcher for sponsoring Team EXIT’s first debut on the golf course.  Team members: Travis Durham, Nick Bibelhaus, Nickey Bibelhaus and Bobbie Shontee.  We had a lot of fun…of course, it’s always fun being on the winning team!

One of the benefits to living in Kentucky is you are within a days travel
to many surrounding states to include the beautiful state of Tennessee.

Recently, at the suggestion of friends, we visited the Parthenon in Nashville which is a full scale replica of the Parthenon in Athens.  Inside you can find the statue of Athena Parthenos, a full scale replica of the original. She stands 42 feet tall and has more than eight pound of gold leaf on her as well as lots of  color making it something to marvel at.  There are also many sculptures that are replicas of the originals found in London’s British Museum. You are surrounded by works of art that remind you of the finer things in life.

Be sure to look up The Parthenon if you are in Nashville. I will definitely visit again someday.  It’s reasonably priced at $6 and I think well worth the money. You can also visit the lower level art gallery where you will enjoy a variety of beautiful works of art on display.

Soldiers Angels Is a Great Organization to be Involved With

Several years ago I became involved with the organization Soldiers Angels after attending a church service held for young soldiers and I saw the impact it had on them and I wanted to help too.  Meeting these young men who were not really sure what they signed up for and had not seen their families since in-listing- you just wanted to be there for them and support them.  I was told about this organization Soldiers Angels.

So I signed up online at www.soldiersangels.org and I was able to adopt my first soldier.  It was very fulfilling and I spent what I felt led to spend.  From I tunes cards to magazines, candies, gum and toiletries I would fill a shoe box each month and mail it off.  I was lucky enough to correspond with my Soldier too via email although it was not expected or required.  It made the experience more rewarding for me. I continued until their tour was over and they returned home to their families.  I then adopted another, and another.

If you are looking for a unique way to help, this is a great origination I recommend and will continue to support.  Would love to hear your experiences if you have been involved with Soldiers Angels too!

How Are You Using “The Cloud?”

If you have a smart phone, chance are you are using “The Cloud”.   Storage that is “just that, In the Cloud”!  It’s great because it doesn’t take up space on your hard drive and you can access it from anywhere and for a Realtor that is really handy!  I have stored photos in “the Cloud” for years but with so many choices out there, I had to try several before settling on ones I liked best.

Recently I purchased Microsoft Office 365 and it comes with Sky Drive which has definitely boosted my confidence in using “the Cloud”.  I can access my files from anywhere, not just photos but any docs I choose.  So no more hunting through all my storage places, Sky Drive has become my “Go To” storage.  Well worth the money for the extra piece of mind.  But, you can get 7 GB of Sky Drive Storage free if you just need some cloud storage.  Highly recommended!  You can download it here!
